Sweet Chariot Early Learning Center
About Sweet Chariot
Since 2005 we've served the Marlboro Community in South Kansas City. Our learning center provides exemplary educational services to low-income families in the surrounding area.
Sweet Chariot Early Learning Center is one of the only learning centers of its type serving this area. Our passion for guiding children through early childhood development enables us to create a stable, enriching, and loving environment while they are in our care.
Our Impact
Our teaching system uses a developmentally appropriate curriculum named HighScope. The HighScope curriculum is a play-based, strength focused approach that prepares students to enter school as active, eager learners and focuses on socialization and self-help skills. We believe high self-esteem is the critical component to our scholars’ optimal growth. To enhance learning in our program, we incorporate multicultural, anti-biased activities.
Students at our learning center are given the opportunity to explore in a safe, nurturing, and diverse environment.
The future for Sweet Chariot is brighter than ever. In the past year, our enrollment has doubled. Our waiting list for new enrollments is miles long. Soon, we will open a brand-new facility. Our new home will feature five dazzling classrooms designed to cater to the needs of our diverse group of young starters. Within five years, we plan to expand to ten classrooms. Additionally, we will be implementing a Head Start program to help prepare our students for kindergarten and beyond.
How Can You Help?
